Palm Hills presents broad sightlines and enough fairway width to let golfers settle into the round, but the ground is not uniformly flat. Uphill, downhill and sidehill lies regularly affect stance and distance control. The open routing creates a relaxed visual rhythm, while lakes, bunkers and sloping green positions place greater pressure on approach accuracy than the generous-looking driving corridors initially suggest.
Palm Hills occupies landscaped rising and falling ground between Cha-am and the wider Hua Hin destination. Mature palms, lakes, flowering vegetation and distant hills shape the course without creating an extreme mountain layout. The terrain influences play primarily through changing levels, uneven stances and altered approach distances. Water contributes visual separation and strategic pressure, but the rolling ground is the feature that affects the golfer most consistently throughout the round.
Max Wexler’s routing uses available width to create choices rather than relying entirely on narrow corridors. The strongest position is often the one that leaves a level stance and a controlled angle into the green, not automatically the longest drive. Lakes, bunkering and changing elevations influence route selection, while poorly positioned approaches can leave difficult recovery shots or defensive putts. Palm Hills remains manageable from an appropriate tee, but careless positioning quickly removes that advantage.
Select a tee that keeps the longer par fours reachable and allows controlled approaches into demanding green positions.
Favour positions that provide a level stance and useful approach angle rather than simply pursuing maximum driving distance.
Account for uphill targets, downhill release and sidehill lies before committing to club selection and landing distance.
Use the caddie’s local read and favour uphill putts when slopes make downhill pace difficult to control.
Front nine: The outward half measures 3,359 yards from the blue tees and contains par fives at the second and seventh holes, with par threes at the third and eighth. The par-four ninth is rated as the front nine’s hardest hole, placing greater pressure on the final approach before the turn.
Back nine: The inward half is longer at 3,528 yards. Its par fives arrive at the twelfth and sixteenth, followed by consecutive par fours at seventeen and eighteen. That structure places more of the back-nine length and scoring pressure into the closing third of the round.
Palm Hills provides a driving range and putting green near the first hole, rental clubs, a pro shop, locker rooms with showers and Birdie Restaurant & Bistro. On-course kiosks are positioned at the fourth, seventh, tenth, thirteenth and sixteenth tees. Fairways of Eden arranges one caddie and one golf cart per golfer, and Palm Hills does not permit carts to be shared. Current dress-code and arrival requirements should be confirmed with the booking.
The current starting rate is displayed dynamically in the booking card above. The accompanying booking details identify the services arranged with the rate, while the requested tee time and final availability remain subject to confirmation by the course.
Palm Hills Golf Club & Residence is at 1444 Petchkasem Road in Cha-am, Phetchaburi, north of central Hua Hin. Private transfers can be requested, with actual travel time depending on the golfer’s pickup location, time of day and traffic.
Palm Hills is an 18-hole, par-72 course measuring 6,887 yards from the blue tees, 6,358 from yellow, 6,034 from white and 5,349 from red. Selecting an appropriate tee is important because much of the back nine’s additional length appears late in the round.
Palm Hills can suit beginners and higher-handicap golfers when played from an appropriate tee. Its broad-looking corridors provide more room than a narrow championship layout, but changing levels, water, bunkers and demanding green positions still require sensible course management.
Fairways of Eden arranges one caddie and one golf cart per golfer. Palm Hills states that carts may not be shared. Rental clubs are available through the course and should be requested in advance because the required handedness and set availability can vary.
Request your preferred playing date and tee-time window for Palm Hills Golf Club. Fairways of Eden will confirm availability and arrange the green fee, one caddie and one golf cart per golfer, with private transfers or rental clubs added when required.
